Faculty Program

The Center for Teaching Excellence emphasizes the importance of life-long learning in the development of outstanding teachers. CTE's Faculty Program encourages a constant refinement and development of the practice of teaching and create an atmosphere in which teachers may discover their own most effective teaching methods.

• Course Design and Planning covers the skills involved in designing an effective course as well as planning for individual classes.
• Creating Effective Classroom Learning Experiences deals with how to engage students with meaningful classroom experiences.
• Assessing Student Learning addresses creating effective assessment schemas and grading systems.
• Professional Development covers both peer review of teaching and the documentation of instructional development over time.
