Center for Teaching Excellence Faculty Grants Program
CTE has created a faculty grants program aimed at supporting efforts to enhance teaching and learning. Up to five grants of $1,500 are available on a competitive basis to all Cornell teaching faculty starting in the Spring of 2010. Funds may be used to develop or purchase course materials, hire graduate or undergraduate assistants, and for other related expenses.
Proposals are encouraged that address instructional challenges including up-scaling of class sizes, reduced TA support, the need to evaluate the impact of instructional technology usage and efforts to comply with Middle States accreditation standards.
Project Support and Application Process
Applicants must send an electronic version (Word or PDF) of the grant application form as an attachment to David Way at dgw2(at)cornell.edu by October 31, 2009. Decisions on awards will be made by early December. Funding will be available for projects starting in the Spring of 2010. If you would like a preliminary reading of your application or help in developing your proposal, contact David Way (255-2663; dgw2(at)cornell.edu) to schedule an appointment.
