Cynthia Zocca, Lecturer ITAP

Cynthia Zocca is in the process of finishing her dissertation in theoretical
Linguistics at the University of Connecticut (UConn). During her years at UConn, she worked as a Linguistics lecturer, ESL instructor, and Writing Center tutor. Her research interests include syntax, morphology, semantics, and cognitive science, in particular learning theories.

Cynthia holds two M.A. degrees in Linguistics, one from the University of Campinas, Brazil, and one from the University of Connecticut. In addition she has a B.A. in English and Portuguese from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Cynthia has been teaching English for 15 years. During this time, she has also worked as a teacher trainer and CELTA tutor (Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults).
